Project Puppet Contest 2008: A Space Odyssey

This is a entry by Shawn Duffy, it was made from the Melonhead Puppet Pattern entered in the Puppet Contest 2008: A Space Odyssey.This is another unique design- two legged…and 6 eyes! It looks to me that the 5 eyes surrounding the main eye is a glove type design so the 5 surrounding eyes can move just by moving your hand. Nice!

Here is Shawn’s description of Sectcornea !

“Sectcornea – a ground dwelling alien on the planet Iris. With its six eyes it is a see all and also very allusive alien. Sectcornea’s personality is sneaky and stealth like. Works alone and only talks to it’s owner. It’s six separate operating eyes allows it to look in various directions. With Sectcornea’s two legs it is able to keep low and crawl but when height is needed it can reach up and look over rocks. It’s two arachnid like legs give it the speed and agility to run out of trouble. It can also rely on it’s feelers under the body to float like a hovercraft over various obstacles and remain quiet. The feelers also back up to assist the creature through water. This alien has adapted to all terrain. It is a great hunting or spy companion for warriors or hunters on planet Iris to see what is ahead and come back with reliable and important information to complete their task.”
